Detrivore Cosmetics Swatches

Today I want to show you some swatches from Detrivore Cosmetics. I picked up 10 shadows when they were having a special: Buy 10 for $20. I picked up a toooooon of matte shadows. I have recently become very interested in matte eyeshadows, they are still new to me. I think I like them a lot better than ones that are very shimmery and/or frosty. The 10 shadows I bought were:

Creature- bright purple matte
Bone- white matte
Bog Body- bright teal matte
Porcelain- light brown matte
Tommyknocker- medium yellowish green matte
Starlet- pink matte
BSoD- bright blue matte
Facade- peach matte
Decay- pastel green matte
Torment- medium brown matte

Top - Creature, Bone, Bog Body, Porcelain
Middle - Tommyknocker, Starlet, BSoD
Bottom - Facade, Decay, Torment

Swatches
over bare skin - no primer
Top - Facade, Torment, Porcelain, Bone, Starlet
Bottom - Tommyknocker, Decay, Bog Body, BSoD, Creature

I really love these shadows. They are rather easy to work with even though they are matte shadows. The colors are very vivd and opaque. If you use a light hand when applying you can make them less intense.

I would love to own every matte shadow in the collection!
What do you think of these  eyeshadows or mattes in general?

NTMS Disney Challenge - Ratigan Picture Tutorial

Hello everyone! I meant to post this sooner, but the internet had other plans. But that is fine because NOW IS THE TIME for a quick photo tutorial!

What I used

Tutorial Time!

I have already primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion and then placed Maybelline Color Tattoo Fierce & Tangy over the inner 3/4 of my lid.

Next pat Detrivore Facade all over Fierce & Tangy and then added Pretty Addictions Peach Punch in the inner 1/4.

Then using NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Purple Velvet place on the outer 1/2 of my lid and made a winged shape.

Next pat Pretty Addictions Hocus Pocus over Purple Velvet and tried to blend as best as you can.

Next place a little bit of Glamour Doll Eyes Electric Chair in the inner corner and then use Glamour Doll Eyes Pistol Pistol to darken up the crease.

Ta da! This is the finished product.

I am quite pleased with how this turned out. I feel that my blending skills are slowly getting better and I really loved how the purple and orange worked together. I also really like the winged shape I created. I really love wearing a bold winged liner and this give you a similar shape but a more dramatic look.

What do you think? Have you ever done a look and totally surprised yourself with how great it turned out?
Would you like a video tutorial as well/in place of photo tutorials?

NTMS Challenge - Disney

This weeks challenge in NTMS is Disney. I decided to do a look inspired by one of my favorite movies: The Great Mouse Detective. I picked Ratigan as my inspiration.

And here is the look I created. I wanted to use the orange and purple as the main part of my look. I darkened the crease a little instead of leaving it bright and used a bright color on my lips to pull in the red from the lining of his cape.

What I used:
Maybelline - Color Tattoo in Fierce & Tangy
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil - Purple Velvet
Detrivore - Facade
Pretty Addictions - Peach Punch, Hocus Pocus
Stila - Love At First Blush Palette
Kat Von D - Everlasting Liquid Love Lipstick in Jeffree

What do you think of this look? I really like it! I was afraid this would end up being a bit crazy, but I think depending on what you are doing, you could probably wear this look out without a problem. Here is the tutorial if you are interested in how I did this.

December Wants

I have seen a few of these posts and I like them so I thought I would try to do one myself.

1- Urban Decay Naked2: I know this is very similar to their first Naked palette and I have a few neutral palettes but I still really want this. This seems like it would be more travel friendly than the original and I do like some of the new colors.

2-Jack Black Balm Squad Lip Quad: I have heard so much about these, but just haven't gotten around to trying them yet.

3-Detrivore's new fragrances: I do not need anymore smelly stuff, but I can't help but be curious with some of the notes in these oils.

4-Butter London Black Knight: I just can't justify paying the price. Know of any dupes?

5-Manic Panic Hair Dye: I would love to dye my hair a bright color again, but I am not sure if I should do it now, or wait until after the wedding...

What are your wants this month?
Do you have any of these items? Would you recommend them?
