Wet N Wild Lipstick Swatches

Hey everyone! I have been M.I.A. lately. Things have gotten busy at home and I was sick, had a week full of headaches and the ATTACK OF THE KILLER ALLERGIES!!! Anyway, no excuses, just giving you all an update. As I have been trying to go through and swatch all my lipsticks it seems that this post magically disappeared. I do not know why, anyways... Today is going to be full of Wet N Wild spam!

Things I love, these lipsticks. Things I don't love so much, how difficult Vamp It Up is to work with. I love the color. It is just perfect for fall, it just needs a little help. I recently picked up a few dark purple lip liners to see how the work with Vamp It Up. Cherry Picking is just an awesome red. I think many people could wear this red and look just wonderful. 24 Carrot Gold and Purty Persimmon however, are a bit more difficult for everyone to pull off. I am not sure if I have the right skin tone for Purty Persimmon, but I do know that I do NOT like how 24 Carrot Gold looks on me. I am going to try to layer it with glosses and see if I can make it work for me. I am loving Rose-bud and Coral-ine. Rose-bud is a perfect dusty rose. I have forsaken Tea Rose from NYX and have since replaced it with Rose-bud as my perfect office lipstick. (Coral-ine, honestly was mostly purchased because of the name. I love corals and I really loved the book Coraline. It is what it is. At least I am honest.=] ) Coral-ine is a pretty orangy, pinky, red that I just can't get enough of! It seems to be a less orange and more red/pink version of NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick. My current love of the NYX Matte Lipstick line. It seems there are not many lipsticks that I have purchased that I am not totally in love with. I think I have a disease.

The only color I am not fond of at all, is 24 Carrot Gold. Do you have any tips or tricks to make this lipstick work? Is it worth it or a lost cause?
What is your favorite Wet N Wild lipstick? Are there any that I do not have that I really must pick up?

Darling Girl Mishmash of Swatches

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday. Finally the week is half over! Today I want to share with you the last few swatches from my last purchase with Darling Girl Cosmetics. Don't worry though because I have a ton more Darling Girl swatches to share with you (lip products)!

Versilia - is a beautiful, neutral, peachy/pink pearl with subtle, silvery-blue iridescence.
Jeweled Taupe - is an amazing, metallic, bronzey taupe with multi-colored shimmer like tiny little jewels ribboned through it.
Bonne Nuit -  is a gorgeous, matte base with a touch of soft violet sheen.
Scarecrow - is so much cooler than my pics can show. Applied dry, it looks like a dark base with a fiery shimmer of gold and copper, but when foiled or wetlined, it morphs into a rich, coppery brown with copper and gold sparkles.
Dark Heart - is a blackened violet on a metallic burgundy base shot with blue and pink sparkle.
Socialite - is a rich royal blue with strong turquoise flash.  It looks amazing over a black base or eyeliner, as the turquoise really comes to life.
Sparklers at Dusk - is a smokey, blue taupe with subtle orange interference.
Wood Sprite - is such a pretty, plummy taupe with red/orange flashes and golden green "diamond dust" sparkle. (Diamond Dust eye shadows are made with a super-lustrous glitter that shines like, well... diamonds. Pictures cannot do them justice.)
Spellbound - deep charcoal gray with with copper shift and pink sparkles.
Helter Skelter - Is it grey? Is it green?  Is it brown?  No it's taupe, with gold iridescence and a sprinkling of pink sparkles.

Socialite - look at how pretty this is!

Out of all of these pretty colors, my favorites would have to be, Scarecrow, Dark Heart and Socialite. They are very unique very pretty colors. I surprisingly did not just totally love Jeweled Taupe. It's nice, but it is just not my color. So many people raved about it but it just isn't as amazing as some of the other shadows Darling Girl has to offer. I can see Scarecrow getting a lot of use this fall.

What colors do you like best? Do you have any of them?
How would you pair these colors together? I am thinking I need to do Bonne Nuit, Scarecrow and Dark Heart together very soon.

Urban Decay Series: Deluxe Shadow Box

Hey everyone! It's time for another Urban Decay palette. Today I have for you, one of my favorite Urban Decay palettes, the Deluxe Shadow Box. It contains almost the entire line of Urban Decay's deluxe shadows.

I love how smooth and pigmented all of these eyeshadows are. This palette would be great for travel because it gives you all the options to create a fun, bright look, a very neutral look, as well as everything in between.

What do you think of this palette? Do you own it? Do you have a favorite shade? Mine is definitely scratch.

Urban Decay Series: Mariposa Palette

Hey Everyone! Its time for another installment of the Urban Decay series. I remember when this came out I had the overwhelming urge to buy this after seeing swatches on temptaila. After seeing her swatches I just had to have it. Unfortunately after purchasing it, I only used it twice. I am not a huge fan of the packaging. First I find it difficult to open. The little nubbins you are supposed to be able to grasp to open, are too small, too round, too smooth. I always have to fight with it to open it. It does looks nice and sleek, but its not practical. Once you open it although it looks nice, there is no mirror. Its not a necessity, but I prefer to have one. While the cardboard looks nice with the print, it seems a bit sloppy. It feels weak and wiggles in the palette.

Rockstar, Gunmetal, Skimp, Infamous, Wreckage

Haight, Money, Mushroom, Spotlight, Limelight

While I do like the colors, the two times I tried to use the palette it turned into a muddy mess on my eyelids. The colors didn't translate well and when I blended them it looked like I got punched in the eye. Now, it is not completely fair to blame the palette as I was not very comfortable with application and blending, I would have to give it another try before I loose all hope. I will say though, that while these shades are nice, some are a bit dark (perfect for fall) I would not recommend this palette to a beginner because it was not easy to use or put shades together to make a decent look at the time. I will have to try to use this palette again some time, now that I am more comfortable, but if it still does not work for me I will probably have to get rid of it.

What do you think of this palette? Do you have it?
Have you ever had an issue with a product due to experience level? Did you ever try it out again? How did it work for you?
