Illamasqua Over Lipstick Swatch

I was bad. After buying Scandal, I was browsing the Illamasqua site and promptly fell in love with Over.

Well all know I can't say no to this type of color. Matte lipstick: check. Bright: check. Coral: check. Basically everything I love in a lip color! So far I have loved all of my Illamasqua lip product, the colors are just to die for and the packaging, amazing as well!

What do you think of this lipstick? Are you obsessed or over coral lips?

Everyday is an adventure.

MAC Swatches - (I Broke My No-Buy, Time To Get Back On The Wagon)

Now is the time to have a serious heart to heart, kinda. By now you may have found out - and I feel quite guilty about it - that I have totally smashed my 100 day no-buy. I was doing really well, making a list of everything I liked. Then all of a sudden *BAM* I was overcome with this urge to purchase stuff. I was not feeling well emotionally. I have been quite stressed lately and I wasn't dealing with life well. I take full responsibility for my actions, and am trying to correct them.

I wanted to be honesty with everyone who reads my blog. Reading some blogs can get you do. It seems like everyone is so perfect and happy. Always. That is just not the case. Everyone has good and bad days. Bad habits and wonderful success. I don't blame people for only wanting to share the good. But sometimes, it is better to be honest to your readers, your friends, instead of ignoring a big part of your day, life, self. This is why I feel that I -HAVE- to share this with you. When all my packages arrive I will probably do a collective haul or something. Some things will be from before the no-buy. (I promise I didn't go -that- crazy)

But today, with all of that behind me, my credit card hidden, and a plan to fix and start saving again I want to share with you my first ever MAC purchase. I had been lusting over a few of this for a long time and just cracked and went out immediatly to see them in person, and subsequently take them home with me. I went in with a limit of 100$. I refused to spend anymore than that. I did good. I came out 60$ poorer and 4 lipsticks richer. I picked up:

Viva Glam Nicki - bright yellow pink
Watch Me Simmer - bright pink-orange
Impassioned - amped-up fuchsia
Vegas Volt - full power coral

I am overall happy with my purchase. I am not sure if Nicki looks good on me, but I am ok with that because the money goes to a good cause. I really like Vegas Volt. I am pretty sure that OCC Lip Tar in Grandma is a dupe. Impassioned is a very pretty color and I think I may have a dupe for that as well. I wanted Watch Me Simmer from the MAC COOK, MAC SHOP(?) collection and missed out so I scooped it up this time.

What do you think of the colors I chose? Have you ever just kinda lost your mind when it comes to purchases?

NTMS Disney Challenge - Ratigan Picture Tutorial

Hello everyone! I meant to post this sooner, but the internet had other plans. But that is fine because NOW IS THE TIME for a quick photo tutorial!

What I used

Tutorial Time!

I have already primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion and then placed Maybelline Color Tattoo Fierce & Tangy over the inner 3/4 of my lid.

Next pat Detrivore Facade all over Fierce & Tangy and then added Pretty Addictions Peach Punch in the inner 1/4.

Then using NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Purple Velvet place on the outer 1/2 of my lid and made a winged shape.

Next pat Pretty Addictions Hocus Pocus over Purple Velvet and tried to blend as best as you can.

Next place a little bit of Glamour Doll Eyes Electric Chair in the inner corner and then use Glamour Doll Eyes Pistol Pistol to darken up the crease.

Ta da! This is the finished product.

I am quite pleased with how this turned out. I feel that my blending skills are slowly getting better and I really loved how the purple and orange worked together. I also really like the winged shape I created. I really love wearing a bold winged liner and this give you a similar shape but a more dramatic look.

What do you think? Have you ever done a look and totally surprised yourself with how great it turned out?
Would you like a video tutorial as well/in place of photo tutorials?

Target Haul

I recently went to Target to buy some basic house stuff when I was suddenly distracted by all the glittery ELF products on the end cap. I picked up quite a bit, none of which I needed. I rationalized it by how cheap everything was. I ended picking up a blush brush, a set of duos, the ultimate eyeshdow palette, eyeshadow palette with 32 warm colors, everyday eye palette and natural eye palette.

Holiday Duos

Holiday Ultimate eyeshadow palette -144 shadows

Holiday 32 Piece eyeshadow palette - Warm

 Holiday Everyday Eye Palette

 Holiday Natural Eye Palette

I also picked up three nail polishes. Sally Hansen Strobe Light, Nicole by OPI My Sleigh's in the Shop and Glitter in my Stocking

Are you picking up anything special (makeup or otherwise) for the holidays?

Kat Von D Tattoo Chronicles Vol I

Today I will be reviewing Kat Von D's Tattoo Chronicles Vol. I palette. This palette was released for the holidays last year. It is designed to look like a vintage book. There are a few pages with drawings and some journal entries. Once you get past all of these pages, the palette opens up to show you a full mirror on the left and the shadows on the right. Along with the 12 shadows you also receive three primers and a pair of false eyelashes. The eye shadows pull out to reveal a hidden compartment. Inside the compartment is a sample of the Sinner and Saint scents.
