Kat Von D Poetica Palette

Today I will be reviewing Kat Von D's Poetica palette. The new palettes for fall are completely different from the past design. The first thing you will notice is that they are no longer made of the rubberized plastic, but of metal. There is a filigree design on the front and the logo is purple. The back still has a sticker telling you names and ingredients. If you push the button on the front you can open the palette (modeled after vintage cigarette cases). It opens completely flat which is a little bit of an issue when you try to use the mirror. They have also decided to get rid of the two dinky brushes and give you a small autograph pencil in puro amor.

The colors in the palette are:
Forgivness (Pearlized Buttercream)
Sand Timer (Pearlized Sand)
Chandler (Pearlized Copper)
Tijuana (Brown and Black with Gold Sparkle) - as seen in Tattoo Chronicles Vol I
Wonderland (Burgundy With Gold Pearl)
Skiba (Purple with Gold Pearl) - as seen in True Love
Babe (Lavender) - as seen in True Love
You Alone (Matte Vanilla)

Forgivness is the color of old ivory lace. Sand Timer is a pinky champagne sand. Chandler is a bright copper. Tijuana is a blackened brown with gold sparkle. Wonderland is blackened purple with purple sparkle. Skiba is an iridescent plum with gold glitter. Babe is an iridescent lavender/blue. You Alone is a pearl with gold glittery undertones.

My favorite colors in the palette are: Chandler and Wonderland
I look forward to using the palette even though it has three repeat colors. I love all of the browns, and Wonderland is a nice addition to the previous purples in the older palettes.

You can pick this palette up for $35 at Sephora.
