FOTD : Kat Von D Evelyn Palette & NYX Transylvania - 7/24/2014

keeping on with the roll, I have another FOTD, plus a small haul. I went to Ulta today because I was having a really bad day(week) and decided to see if they had the NYX macaron lippies in the store - negative. Good news, there were new colors of the soft matte lip creams to poke at. I got one to see, and there are few more I would love, plus there are new normal matte lipstick shades now! As I was wandering around with my new lippie I found some clearanced nail polishes, SCORE! So I picked up Josie, Sunshine (pixie dust) , and Chita (pixie dust). The best part of the day was there were clearanced from 8.00 to 1.97 but when I got to check out they actually range up for .98 I believe. I purchased everything for under ten dollars! That sure made my week a little brighter.

This is the first day all week that my husband has noticed or at least said anything about my makeup. I walked into his office when I picked him up from work and all he had to say was "You look dark." For the life of me, I couldn't just take a "normal" photo but I think these show off the makeup well enough so here they stay!

What I used:

Face
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in 115 Ivory
ELF High Definition Powder

Eyes
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Kat Von D Evelyn Palette
Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Demolition
Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express
ELF Eyebrow Kit in Dark

Lips
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Transylvania

What do you think? Will you be running out to Ulta to score some nail poishes or checking out some new NYX products? I think the lip cream could have been a little bit nicer if I used a lipliner first, c'est la vie!

Everyday is an adventure.

Benefit Hervana Swatches

Benefit had a one day flash sale of Hervana before it is released in January, so I picked this up during my Sephora haul. This blush is described as a soft orchid-blossom flush. There are four colors in a pinwheel pattern. The colors are lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose, berry delight. You are meant to swirl your brush in there and mix up all the colors and then put it on your face.

sorry for the craziness I seem to have difficulties trying to photograph blush. If you have any tips I would love to hear them!

Top- all the colors swirled together swatched heavily then blended out
Bottom- lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose, berry delight

I like that the new packaging comes with a little mirror and I like that the top is actually attached to the box so that you cannot lose or damage the top. This blush is a nice soft pink. It is darker than dandelion (the only other benefit blush I have) so I think more people will be able to use this.

Are you going to pick this up when it is launched or are you not that interested in it?
What is your favorite benefit boxed powder? What is your favorite blush?

You will be able to pick this up for $28 at Sephora in January.

Sephora VIB Gift Card Haul

I received my Sephora gift card in the mail and picked up three things. I know a lot of people were saying you did not have to buy 50$ worth of stuff to use the gift card online, but I did anyway. I was initially only going to get a few Benefit products to test out but then I saw they were doing a flash sale of Hervana before the release in January so I added that to my cart too. I ended up purchasing Finding Mr. Bright, One Prime Day, and Hervana. I have been interested in trying out some of Benefit's products, but The Big 10 which is what I originally wanted was out of stock. I have been rather curious of their different luminizers and face products.

What did you pick up from Sephora recently? Do you like Benefit products?
Are you interested in picking up Hervana when it is released?
What is your favorite face product (primer, luminizer, etc)?

ELF Holiday Studio Endless Eyes Pro Mini Eyeshadow Palette - Warm - Swatches

I just wanted to share some quick swatches of this palette in case anyone was interested in buying it. I got this during my Target haul a while ago. There are 32 shadows in this collection. All of these shadows were pigmented well and were easy to work with. This would be a great present for someone just starting to get into make up and looking for a bunch of neutral colors to work with. This is also a great gift for someone who works and needs a more conservative look for the office.

Glamour Doll Eyes Art Deco Collection and Swatches

This is the first part of my Glamour Doll Eyes haul. Today I am going to share with you swatches of the Art Deco collection. This collection Includes six shadows.

Island Chic- is a gorgeous blend of green, blue and a touch of gold. This color reminds me of a mermaid.
Juicy Mango- is a medium shimmer orange with pink afterglow when rubbed down
Phyrra- is hot pink with aqua sparkles
Oddity- is a very unique blend of shimmer and matte
Tattooed- is a very unique blend of matte and shimmer. This color includes a bright blue mixed with a gorgeous shimmery purple.
Pistol Pistol- is a blackened silver (almost gunmetal) with multi colored shimmer, but mainly red shimmer!

Island Chic is a very green blue, the color of the sea. Juicy Mango is a soft, warm orange, Oddity is bright lime green. Phyrra is a pretty, purpley pink with aqua glitter. Tattooed is a warm slightly pink royal purple. Pistol Pistol is a beautiful almost gunmetal grey with multicolored sparkle.

I love all of these colors. I was most excited to get tattooed because I heard so much about it from basically anyone who has purchased from Glamour Doll Eyes. I already had a sample baggie of Island Chic as a free sample from my first ever order with Glamour Doll Eyes. I also purchased Pistol Pistol a while ago as a sample jar- now I have a full jar. I do not think there is a single eyeshadow that I have received from Glamour Doll Eyes that I do not like. They have all been winners; easy to blend, unique, and pigmented.

What do you think of this collection? Are there any colors that catch your eye? How would you put these shadows together to create a look?

And remember as always if you like anything you see here, check out the Glamour Doll Eyes website.
