Long time no see

Soooo I don't really want to know how long it has been since I have posted here. Things have been very busy with family things and makeup just was not a priority. Currently Moon Rabbit Cosmetics is closed. I do not have the time to devote to it as I feel it deserves.

Now that I got all that business out of the way, I want to start posting again so I will share a NOTD and a weekly favorites.

Firstly the most work I have done painting my nails in months:
this instagram picture is the best I can do

Base: Zoya Wednesday
Polka dots: OPI Don't 'Ya Just Love OPI stamped with Bundle Monster - BM-
Bow: OPI Road House Blues stamped with Konad - m56

-----------

And now for all the things I have been using and loving this week:

1- Chinovi eye shadow in Whisper
I was organizing all of my indie shadows and for some reason Whisper kept calling out to me. Good think I listened, IT'S GORGEOUS! SO SPARKLY! I love patting it over a foiling medium to give a very nice sparkly look when you want to be "toned down" because of your nice bright lipstick!

2- ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain
My Make Up For Ever Foundation is practically empty (I don't know why I am trying to limp it along) and I just don't feel like using my Illamasqua one because I am pretty sure the slight tan I have developed has made me just a little too dark for my current shade.

3-Darling Girl blush in Pixie
Apparently no longer on the site, this is a gorgeous subdued everyday blush. Not super bright, or pink, just perfect to liven up my face when I don't want to look like I am "wearing blush."

Everyday is an adventure.

Darling Girl Blush Swatches

I have had these since the super bowl sale and just had not gotten around to swatching them. Being that I was over come with some sort of productiveness virus, I decided to swatch a serious amount of stuff and these were some of said items. Today I present to you swatches of five Darling Girl blushes!

Man Candy

She-bop

Boy Crazy

Cheeky

I like Boy Crazy but I am not sure if I could wear it as a blush. Maybe I could contour with it?  Man Candy is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. She-bop is actually more orange than I  expect and I am not sure how often I will use it. I really love Pixie and Cheeky I think they will get the most use.

What do you think of these blushes? Do you own any Darling Girl blushes?
What would you suggest I try next?

Sleek Blush by 3 Lace Palette Swatches

Here is the second of my two Sleek blush palettes. I already showed you Sugar yesterday so now it is time to see Lace.

Chantilly, Guipure, Crochet

Crochet

This is definitely my favorite of all the blush palettes. These colors seem best suited to pale skin. It also seems tailored to my specifications. I love corals which is the base of these colors. One is more orange (Chantilly), one is shimmery (guipure) and one is more pink (crochet). They are all just very lovely. Also in case anyone else was curious, guipure is a heavy, large-patterned decorative lace.

What do you think of these blushes?
How would you wear Guipure? I am stumped.

Sleek Blush by 3 Sugar Palette Swatches

This is just a quick post to show you swatches of Sleek's Sugar blush palette. I purchased two of the five. I picked Sugar and Lace. They seemed like the most logical to buy for someone with pale skin. Seeing as some of the others were quite pigmented, they really did scare me away. (I am not very talented in the blush department)

Turbinado, Muscovado, Demerara

 Turbinado

 Muscovado

 Demerara

What do you think of these blushes? I really like Demerara. It is a very pretty peachy color. It seems quite sheer so you will definitely need to pile it one. Turbinado is very pigmented. Muscovado is a little intimidating. It is very pretty, but I am not sure about all those glitters!

What do you think of these blushes? Would you wear any of them?
Do you like matte blushes or do you prefer some sparkle?

Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Palette Swatches

Today I just wanted to share with you a quick post. I have for you, swatches of the Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Palette. I bought this when I was on a neutral and pink shadow kick. Let's take a look.

Top - Ivory, Pink Flannel
Bottom - Pink Chiffon, Chocolate Caviar

Pretty Pink

Top to Bottom - Soiree Pink, Bubble Bath, Sandwash Pink

Swatched

Top - Ivory, Pink Flannel, Pink Chiffon, Chocolate Caviar
Bottom - Pretty Pink, Soiree Pink, Bubble Bath, Sandwash Pink

This palette comes with four eyeshadows, a blush and three lip glosses. I had to admit this, but I have not used this palette yet. I was so excited about it when I purchased it, but now it just sits in a pile on my dresser with a few other palette, some of which I use often, some of which I would like to use but just don't reach for. The shadows are beautiful and swatched well. The blush seems like a nice color that a lot of people could wear, and the glosses don't seem that spectacular, but the don't seem horrible either. I think the issue I have with the gloss, is that I do not want to just stick my finger in them to apply, for some reason I feel the need to use a brush, and that is just too much work for a plain old gloss to me.

What do you think of this palette? Do you have any products you were so excited
about, that you like, that just don't get any love?

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface Swatch

Today I have a quckie post. I want to share with you my first ever Tarte blush. I was on the fence with this color when I first used it, now that I have a little more experience, I really like it.

Swatched
over bare skin - no primers

Top - swatched heavily
Bottom - blended out

This blush is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. This was my first Tarte product. I really like it and I will be looking into getting more of these blushes after my 100-day no buy. I am interested in Exposed, Natural Beauty, Blissful, Flush, Blushing Bride, and Tipsy.

Do you use Tarte blushes? Which is your favorite?

Benefit Hervana Swatches

Benefit had a one day flash sale of Hervana before it is released in January, so I picked this up during my Sephora haul. This blush is described as a soft orchid-blossom flush. There are four colors in a pinwheel pattern. The colors are lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose, berry delight. You are meant to swirl your brush in there and mix up all the colors and then put it on your face.

Swatched over bare skin
sorry for the craziness I seem to have difficulties trying to photograph blush. If you have any tips I would love to hear them!

Top- all the colors swirled together swatched heavily then blended out
Bottom- lucky shell, divine peach, heavenly rose, berry delight

I like that the new packaging comes with a little mirror and I like that the top is actually attached to the box so that you cannot lose or damage the top. This blush is a nice soft pink. It is darker than dandelion (the only other benefit blush I have) so I think more people will be able to use this.

Are you going to pick this up when it is launched or are you not that interested in it?
What is your favorite benefit boxed powder? What is your favorite blush?

You will be able to pick this up for $28 at Sephora in January.
