Long time no see

Soooo I don't really want to know how long it has been since I have posted here. Things have been very busy with family things and makeup just was not a priority. Currently Moon Rabbit Cosmetics is closed. I do not have the time to devote to it as I feel it deserves.

Now that I got all that business out of the way, I want to start posting again so I will share a NOTD and a weekly favorites.

Firstly the most work I have done painting my nails in months:
this instagram picture is the best I can do

Base: Zoya Wednesday
Polka dots: OPI Don't 'Ya Just Love OPI stamped with Bundle Monster - BM-
Bow: OPI Road House Blues stamped with Konad - m56

-----------

And now for all the things I have been using and loving this week:

1- Chinovi eye shadow in Whisper
I was organizing all of my indie shadows and for some reason Whisper kept calling out to me. Good think I listened, IT'S GORGEOUS! SO SPARKLY! I love patting it over a foiling medium to give a very nice sparkly look when you want to be "toned down" because of your nice bright lipstick!

2- ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain
My Make Up For Ever Foundation is practically empty (I don't know why I am trying to limp it along) and I just don't feel like using my Illamasqua one because I am pretty sure the slight tan I have developed has made me just a little too dark for my current shade.

3-Darling Girl blush in Pixie
Apparently no longer on the site, this is a gorgeous subdued everyday blush. Not super bright, or pink, just perfect to liven up my face when I don't want to look like I am "wearing blush."

Everyday is an adventure.

Black & White Challenge - Day Five

Sorry this post is so late. I wore the last manicure for probably two weeks -no lie! I wanted to at least make it until the Red Elvises show last Thursday. There weren't too many chips so I just wore it until I accidentally peeled the polish clean off my ring finger while watching some Deceasedcrab. I call this my Cheetos nails.

Color Base With Black

What I used:
OPI - Hot & Spicy
Icing - Jet Black
Bundle Monster - BM221

I am a little disappointed in my nails this time. I thought I would just love the whole nail with the animal print. Not so much. It's not that I don't like the pattern, I just think I needed to add a bit more color. I am also not sure if I am loving the actual color I chose to paint my nails. I remember reading that it is a coral, they lie. It is very much just a warm orange. When I first painted my nails, my fingers look oh so red. Looking at them today though, it is not as bad as I once thought it was. Must have grown on me.

What do you think of this color?
Do you think a few dots of a lighter orange or yellow would have helped this pop a bit more?
Have you ever been disappointed with a nail polish color-wise before?

Black & White Challenge - Day Four

Hello everyone! This one I am totally in love with! It seems lately things are not working quite how I want, but this manicure turned out pretty much perfect. I used pretty much the most perfect image plate for this. It is from the new Cheeky set.

White Base With Color

What I used
Fresh Paint - Eggshell
OPI - Road House Blues
OPI - Last Friday Night
Cheeky Plate - CH4

I love this. I tried using a jelly for a base and I think it turned out well. The VNL is not too bad, thanks to the stars all over. I also am totally loving my ring finger accent nail. I did two coats of Eggshell, stamped the UFO using Road House Blues, and did a coat of Last Friday Night topped with a top coat. So pretty! I am totally going to wear this as long as I can so it may be a while until the next post!

What do you think of this manicure. This is probably my most successful one of the challenge in my eyes.
Do you just love stamping like I do? Or do you just feel meh about it?

Black & White Challenge - Day Three

Sorry I haven't posted this yet, it has been done for about a week and I just never wrote up the post. I recently got a few new stamping plates and wanted to play with them so you will see images from the second Bundle Monster set and the Cheeky 2012 set.

Black Base With Color

What I used:
China Glaze - Black Diamond
China Glaze - Aquadelic
China Glaze - Happy Go Lucky
Konad - m56
Bundle Monster - BM221
Essie - Matte About You

What do you think of this design? I am so glad to have an image plate with a leopard print pattern on it. It seems no matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to do it myself. I need the help! I tried to, instead of using glitter, using a matte top coat as an accent. I feel it did not work out quite as I had planned. It wasn't bad, just not what I imagined it would be. Also if you can tell on the pinky I tried stamping the bow with red first didn't like it and changed to yellow. The red just did not stand out as much as the yellow did. This is also my first time using Black Diamond. I think I works well for this challenge.

Black & White Challenge - Day Two

So I may have cheated a little with this one but I don't care. Day two was supposed to be a black base with white. I feel that, artistically speaking, I have fulfilled the criteria with my design.

Black Base With White

What I used:
OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
Icing - Jet Black
China Glaze - Some Like It Haute
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
China Glaze - Fast Foward Top Coat
Bundle Monster - Plate BM17

I tried using Sinful Colors Snow Me White again. It works much better for stamping than it does for painting an entire nail. Also, the China Glaze top coat did not really streak my stamped designs this time. The only complaint I have about how my nails turned out is I wish I could seem more glitter and sparkle.

What do you think of this design? Would you wear it?
Do you like doing the tips or do you stay away from it?

Black & White Challenge - Day One

Hey everyone! This is a quick post today. I just wanted to share my first nail design I did for day one of the black and white challenge.

Day One: White Base with Black

Sinful Colors-Snow Me White
Icing - Jet Black
Bundle Monster Plate BM16

I must say I am disapointed with how this manicure turned out. I do not like using white polishes. This one was somewhat thick and bubbled a ton on me. I find that this tends to be a common issue with white and yellows. They are either too thick or too thin. I also am not a fan of my top coat (China Glaze Fast Foward) streaked some of my stamping. I may not have waited long enough for it to completely dry and that my be my fault and not the top coat. I feel like if this was not as messy, or didn't chip the same day, I may have liked it more. What do you think?

 I used:
China Glaze For Audry
China Glaze Grape Pop
China Glaze Marry A Millionaire
Konad plate m03

Valentine's Day 2/14 - China Glaze Electropop And Konad NOTD

For day two of my Valentine's series I thought I would show you a quick and easy manicure. Adding glitter to the ring finger helps accentuate any ring you may wear there and the Konad design adds something cute.

First here is a swatch of Fuchsia Fanatic

And here is the finished Product

What I used

China Glaze- Fuchsia Fanatic
OPI- Show It And Glow It
Icing- Jet Black
Konad plate m59

What do you think of this manicure? Would you wear it or is it too busy for you?
What is your favorite Konad [or fauxnad] design or plate?
Would you like me to start showing you more of my nails and nail polish swatches?
