Black & White Challenge - Day Six

So I know I have taken a serious break from the black and white challenge. Do not worry I didn't forget or give up. I have been relatively busy and didn't have much time to paint my nails, and every time I did, I was not pleased with the results. Today's post is:

Color Base With White

I used:
China Glaze - I'm With The Life Guard
China Glaze - Some Like It Haute
China Glaze - Techno
Pure Ice - Super Star
Cheeky Plate - CH5

I am not so much a fan of how the accent nail turned out, but I am loving I'm With The Life Guard.
What do you think?

Every day is an adventure.

Urban Decay Series: Show Pony Palette

Today is the first day of my Urban Decay series. I had this planned before UD announced their move to start selling their products in China (and then changing their mind). I do not want to talk about that issue as everyone has already read enough about it. So I am just going to share some swatches with you and you can decided about how you feel and enjoy the pretties.

Swatches
swatched over bare skin - no primer

Top - Snatch, Mildew, Flash
Bottom - Pain Killer, Smog, Toasted

Snatch, Mildew, Flash

Pain Killer, Smog, Toasted

This is a pretty nice palette. The colors are work well together, and all of the shadows are very pigmented. I would have to say my favorite color from this palette is toasted. It is a wonderful color to use all on its own when you want to wear some sort of makeup but not put much work into it.

What do you think of this palette? Do you have a go to effortless look color?

Everyday is an adventure.

Glamour Doll Eyes - Eyelight Swatches

Hey everyone! I thought I had already posted this but apparently it has slipped through the cracks. So today I will share with you some sparklies! I do not have a lot of cosmetic glitters so this is almost all of the glitters I own - minus two from Darling Girl which I will have to share with you sometime.

Top- Hollywood, Hot Mess, Little Black Dress
Bottom - Steampunk, Monster Mash

Hollywood

Hot Mess

Little Black Dress

Steampunk
Monster Mash

 Pink Cadillac, Bachelorette, Casino

Swatches
all swatched over LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base

Top Row - Hollywood, Hot Mess, Little Black Dress
Middle Row - Steampunk, Monster Mash, Pink Cadillac
Bottom Row - Bachelorette, Casino

Some of these are no longer available on the site. But I really do enjoy these glitters. My favorite is probably Hot Mess or Monster Mash. I have not used these for anything really yet. I think I want to do a really sparkly eye for a party, but I never really go to any =[

And remember as always if you like anything you see here, check out the Glamour Doll Eyes website.

Black & White Challenge - Day Four

Hello everyone! This one I am totally in love with! It seems lately things are not working quite how I want, but this manicure turned out pretty much perfect. I used pretty much the most perfect image plate for this. It is from the new Cheeky set.

White Base With Color

What I used
Fresh Paint - Eggshell
OPI - Road House Blues
OPI - Last Friday Night
Cheeky Plate - CH4

I love this. I tried using a jelly for a base and I think it turned out well. The VNL is not too bad, thanks to the stars all over. I also am totally loving my ring finger accent nail. I did two coats of Eggshell, stamped the UFO using Road House Blues, and did a coat of Last Friday Night topped with a top coat. So pretty! I am totally going to wear this as long as I can so it may be a while until the next post!

What do you think of this manicure. This is probably my most successful one of the challenge in my eyes.
Do you just love stamping like I do? Or do you just feel meh about it?

Black & White Challenge - Day Two

So I may have cheated a little with this one but I don't care. Day two was supposed to be a black base with white. I feel that, artistically speaking, I have fulfilled the criteria with my design.

Black Base With White

What I used:
OPI Natural Nail Base Coat
Icing - Jet Black
China Glaze - Some Like It Haute
Sinful Colors - Snow Me White
China Glaze - Fast Foward Top Coat
Bundle Monster - Plate BM17

I tried using Sinful Colors Snow Me White again. It works much better for stamping than it does for painting an entire nail. Also, the China Glaze top coat did not really streak my stamped designs this time. The only complaint I have about how my nails turned out is I wish I could seem more glitter and sparkle.

What do you think of this design? Would you wear it?
Do you like doing the tips or do you stay away from it?

Valentine's Day 13/14 - NOTD using China Glaze

Here are the nails I am planing on wearing for Valentine's day. This is what was on my nails when Nate proposed to me in September so I thought it would be cute to do it again. Last time I used China Glaze Refresh-Mint instead of For Audrey. Same, but different.

 I used:
China Glaze For Audry
China Glaze Grape Pop
China Glaze Marry A Millionaire
Konad plate m03

Valentine's Day 2/14 - China Glaze Electropop And Konad NOTD

For day two of my Valentine's series I thought I would show you a quick and easy manicure. Adding glitter to the ring finger helps accentuate any ring you may wear there and the Konad design adds something cute.

First here is a swatch of Fuchsia Fanatic

And here is the finished Product

What I used

China Glaze- Fuchsia Fanatic
OPI- Show It And Glow It
Icing- Jet Black
Konad plate m59

What do you think of this manicure? Would you wear it or is it too busy for you?
What is your favorite Konad [or fauxnad] design or plate?
Would you like me to start showing you more of my nails and nail polish swatches?
