Moon Rabbit Cosmetics - Special Force Collection Launch

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share with you Moon Rabbit Cosmetics' Fall line as it is finally available for purchase. As an added bonus, all of the special force collection shadows are buy 2 get 1 free (works for sample baggies AND full size jars).

Based off some of my favorite characters from Dragon Ball Z, Ginyƫ Tokusentai. They are one of the most ridiculous and probably sparkliest characters in the whole series. Boiled down, they are a mix of Power Rangers and Sailor Moon. How could you not love that?! I don't know if you enjoy watching anime, but you will definitely love the shadows they inspired!

Commander - deep purple bursting with violet and silver shimmers

Red Magma - white with red shift, and full of gold shimmers

Blue Hurricane - bright blue with a subtle gold shift

Ultra Eraser Gun - peachy orange with a gold shift

Time Freeze - lime green with blue shimmers

What do you think of this collection? I had a blast working on it. The colors, I think, are quite beautiful and look wonderful over a variety of different primers and bases. You can wear them as a sheer everyday eye look just over a primer like UDPP, or you can really amp up the color using a foiling medium or colored bases. The versitility really makes it like you have 20 different shadows instead of just five! I exaggerate a little, but you know what I mean.

Would you wear any of these colors? Do you think these colors make a good fall collection? How would you put these colors together to create a look?

Moon Rabbit Cosmetics - Special Force Collection EOTD

Seeing as I am almost ready to launch the fall collection I thought I would give to a sneak peek by sharing a look I did recently with three of the shadows. I used Commander, Time Freeze and Red Magma.

This is a fairly simple look, and honestly I am sure anyone could do it. I started out by patting Darling Girl Glitter Glue all over my lid. I have been playing with it and I am in love. I do find, though, that if you use too much it will crease like nobody's business.

Next I took commander and patted it all over the outer 1/2 of my lid, went slightly higher than my crease and created a v shape.

Then I patted Time Freeze all over my lid, blending it with Commander.

Lastly I placed a small amount of Red Magma in the inner corner and under my brow bone. I blended some into the crease to soften the line a little and done! All you need to do is add mascara and you are ready to go!

**these were the pressed versions of the shadows as I was trying to test out how well they would hold up as well as how the application would be**

What do you think of this look? Do you like to wear purples with greens? I will say I had a hard time capturing all the sparkles that are in the shadows. Are you excited about the release of this collection?

Moon Rabbit Cosmetics - Birthday Collection and EOTD

I finally unlazyed myself enough to wear makeup yesterday so I thought I would do a look using the newest Moon Rabbit Cosmetics colors. The newest collection is a birthday collection. It contains for shades that work great together.

Birthday Cake - is a frosting white with a blue sheen and tons of shimmery sprinkles of sparkle.
Sto Lat - Meaning one hundred years, is a yellowish gold with tons of shimmer.
Happy Birthday - the color of smoke in the air after blowing out the candles, a dusty greyed purple with shimmery flecks reminiscent of the flame from birthday candles.
Na Zdrowie - meaning to your health, is a deep blueish purple with blue, burgundy, and gold shimmers

My Birthday Look

Tutorial

Step 1- after priming your lid, pat Na Zdrowie on the outer half of your lid

Step 2 - pat Happy Birthday all over lid and blend with Na Zdrowie

Step 3 - pat Sto Lat on the center of the lid

Step 4 - Take a small amount of Birthday Cake and place at the inner corner and at the brow bone for a highlight

Finish with mascara and liner if you choose. I used Urban Decay's 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Retrograde

I found it hard to capture some of the colors with my camera. Happy Birthday is more purple than just grey, and Na Zdrowie is more purple than the blue it shows up as. I really think Birthday Cake is a complex and wonderful highlight color and Sto Lat is a great gold.

What do you think of this look? Do you like the collection or are you just not wowed by it?
Also don't forget to enter my giveway it ends tomorrow!

Darling Girl - Darling Grrl Collection Swatches

Hey everyone! Today I want to share with you an amazing collection from Darling Girl. By now you probably know I love Susan and think she is one of the best out there. Nothing I have bought from her has ever been a disappointment. Everything is beautiful and of amazing quality.

Darling Grrl Collection: Avid punk/psychedelic rockers unite with this fun and spunky collection from Darling Girl Cosmetics. Each color is based on a few of Darling Girl's most avid fans' favorite punk rock or psychedelic rock bands from the '80s and beyond. Each color is unique, hand blended and seriously "created to ROCK!"

Love In A Void - was inspired by one of my favorite women or rock, Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees. It;s a white pearl with pink shift and black and red sparkles
Vicar in a Tutu - was inspired by The Smiths and is a cool cucumber green with a subtle pink and orange duo-chome
Die, Die, My Darling - was inspired by one of my favorite bands, The Misfits. It is a gorgeous kelly green with pink and gold sparkles
Roots Radical - was inspired by Rancid and is a light, mint green with gold and pink sparkles
How Soon is Now - was inspired by The Smiths. It is a medium gray with pink and aqua sparkles
London Calling - was inspired by punk pioneers, The Clash. Oh how this song brings back memories of skateboarding under the Burnside Bridge (or should I say hanging out with cute boys and pretending to skateboard) It's an indigo base with heavy red shift

I love all of these colors. Love In A Void is so unique. I had never seen a color like this before with the red glitters. Vicar In A Tutu is a very pretty green. It would be great for an inner corner highlight. Die, Die My Darling is a beautiful rich green with almost a purple duo-chrome. Roots Radical is a very pretty sea foam, but more intense, with a gold sheen. How soon is now is a very interested greyish taupe full of blue and pink sparkles! London Calling is pretty much perfect. It is a deep plummy purple with a pretty golden/red sheen.

What do you think of these colors? Do you have a favorite? Are you thinking of picking any of these up?

Kat Von D - Mini True Romance Eyeshadow Palette - Little Sinner

Hey everyone! I have got some cool new Kat Von D palettes to share with you. As you all know, I have an insatiable urge to own every Kat Von D palette. I do not know why. I will say right now, I think these are much better than the Mi Vida Loca palette. There are two new palettes out, Little Saint and Little Sinner. They are mini palettes. There are four colors in each just like the Kimberly and Evelyn palettes. I think the colors look great, are pigmented and of good quality. I also love how there is only one real repeat shade out of the eight shadows. The four shadows in this palette are:

Galore - pearlized golden nude
T-Rex - pearlized olive
Swan Song - iridescent white (iridescent pearl in Mi Vida Loca palette)
Brave Awakening - pearlized maroon

Top - Galore, Swan Song
Bottom - T-Rex, Brave Awakening

I find these colors to be a little Christmas-y. The rich shimmery gold, evergreen and holly red really do scream holiday party! This is not a bad thing, they are pretty colors. I am glad that the repeat is a pretty color. It is not the colors she usually repeats, and I really did love Swan Song.

What do you think of this palette? Would it get a lot of use from you?
Do you think these colors are too common to warrant purchasing this palette?

Sleek Oh So Special Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Finally! That is all I have to say about this palette. I have been listing over this for-ev-er! I have this obsession with palettes. They make my life easier when I do not know what colors to put together. They make it so I have less to carry on a trip. Seeing all the colors lay out in front of me, just makes me swoon. I look forward to doing many looks with this palette!

Swatches

Top - Bow, Organza, Ribbon, Gift Basket, Glitz, Celebrate
Bottom - Pamper, Gateau, The Mail, Boxed, Wrapped Up, Noir

I love this palette as much as I thought I would. I really like the mix of mattes and shimmer. For the most part the quality and pigmentation is good, although I had some trouble swatching Bow, it applied well while doing a look. I really love all the neutral browns and pinks. I even love the surprise pop of color (like Glitz).

What do you think of Sleek? Do you like or already own this palette?
What is your favorite palette? Or do you just not care for them?
