Technopagan FOTD - 12/30/14

I decided to test out my most exciting Christmas present to wear, OCC Technopagan! It is just as beautiful in person as everyone's swatches had led me to believe. I love it! I could wear it everyday and be the happiest girl in the world. You know the color is good when the lovely girl who was checking me out at Trader Joe's was gushing over it and before I left told me to keep rocking that lip!

For my face I have been doing my current usual routine. I am really loving the look of the Revlon foundation I have been using. It seems, to me at least, to match my skin tone. It doesn't broadcast any dry spots on my face. Best of all? It doesn't settle into any of my fine lines. It looks better on me than MUFE HD foundation and is a better everyday foundation that Illamasqua Skin Base because of the price point. I will be repurchasing when I go though the two bottles I have now. My only complaint? It doesn't have a pump. :(

How can you not just be filled with joy when you see such a wonderful lip color!?

theBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer Swatches

When I was on a highlighter kick, trying to find a bunch I wanted to test out, I saw that they had this on HauteLook and scooped it up. This is in my regular rotation until I find a highlighter I like better.

Swatches

I do like this as a highlighter but if you are not careful, you can use too much and look oily. I think this would look good on most people as it is a nice golden shimmer. I would say this is somewhat frosty but the good news it that there are no chunks of glitter in it like some highlighters do. I like to pat this over Benefit Watt's Up!

Valentine's Day 8/14 - Fun Pink Look With ELF 144 Palette

Here is yet ANOTHER pink and purple look. I really like this combination. The reason I did this is to show that you can get a beautiful look without having to spend a ton of money. For this look, I used the ELF 144 palette and Rimmel Nostalgia lipstick. The ELF 144 palette is a great investment. Not every shadow is a winner, but the ones that are, are great to work with and have great color pay off. Just see for yourself!

First I used Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. Then I used Column 7 Row 3 for a wash all over the lid.

Next I used Column 8 Row 10 on the outer half of the lid.

Then I used Column 8 Row 3 as  highlight on my brow bone.

Then I placed Column 7 Row 9 in the crease and outer v.

I then used Jack's Lantern from Darling Girl as a liner.

I created a small wing and smudged a little on my lower lash line as well.

I am really loving these colors together, what do you think?
What are you going to be wearing on Valentine's day? Anything special or is it just another day?

I am also testing out some ideas for makeup for my wedding, do you think this eye look would be nice?
