Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Swatches

Finally. I have had this post done forever and just never published it. No reason. So lets just get this started! =]

I just want to start out by saying I love these. Seriously I can't tell you enough about how wonderful they are, but I will try anyway. I was never very good at applying eyeliner properly. I once tried a gel liner and thought I found my holy grail. Then I tried these and I think this is my new holy grail eyeliner! When I first tried them I was very much intimidated. Once these are set they are -SET- I was very much afraid that with my lack of skills and the seeming permanence of these just made it so they sat in a container with all my eyeshadow brushes longing to create a beautiful graphic winged liner on my face. One night I must have been insane because I thought I could actually use these successfully. (see here and here)To my surprise I did and an unhealthy love/obsession was born. I have six of the eleven colors:

Radium - bright blue with silver sparkle
Sabbath - deep matte navy
Smog - deep brown with golden shimmer and iridescent sparkle
Demolition - deep matte brown
Retrograde - dark purple with purple sparkle
Perversion - carbon black

Top to Bottom - Radium, Sabbath, Smog, Demolition, Retrograde, Perversion

applicator

 Swatches
swatched over bare skin - no primer

Top - Radium, Smog, Retrograde
Bottom - Sabbath, Demolition, Perversion

Top - Radium, Smog, Retrograde
Bottom - Sabbath, Demolition, Perversion

What do you think of these Urban Decay eyeliners? What is your favorite color?
Do you prefer a different eyeliner medium (pencil, gel, etc)? Have any tips or trick?

Black & White Challenge - Day Five

Sorry this post is so late. I wore the last manicure for probably two weeks -no lie! I wanted to at least make it until the Red Elvises show last Thursday. There weren't too many chips so I just wore it until I accidentally peeled the polish clean off my ring finger while watching some Deceasedcrab. I call this my Cheetos nails.

Color Base With Black

What I used:
OPI - Hot & Spicy
Icing - Jet Black
Bundle Monster - BM221

I am a little disappointed in my nails this time. I thought I would just love the whole nail with the animal print. Not so much. It's not that I don't like the pattern, I just think I needed to add a bit more color. I am also not sure if I am loving the actual color I chose to paint my nails. I remember reading that it is a coral, they lie. It is very much just a warm orange. When I first painted my nails, my fingers look oh so red. Looking at them today though, it is not as bad as I once thought it was. Must have grown on me.

What do you think of this color?
Do you think a few dots of a lighter orange or yellow would have helped this pop a bit more?
Have you ever been disappointed with a nail polish color-wise before?

Celebration Time - It's My 100th Post!

So I have been putting this off for a while. At first it snuck up on me. Then I was completely overwhelmed. I couldn't believe I had made 100 posts. I couldn't believe people wanted to read my 100 posts. I couldn't believe that some of my swatches were actually good! I also can't believe that some people have watched my videos and not died of boredom! It is all just so very surreal to me.

I have always loved fashion, but makeup was never my passion. After mostly feeling comfortable with who I am, being with someone who loves me for me at my worst, I felt I deserved to start experimenting again with something. That something was makeup.I never really wore makeup when I was younger. When I was young I was not really allowed to wear much makeup. In high school I experimented with color a bit, maybe a smidge of eyeliner. I was always looking for the perfect red lipstick, but never wore it. My mother never really wore makeup so I never had anyone to show me how to apply it properly. It was all trial and error. I am sure most of it was error maybe a few times it was success.

Since I have started this blog I have made many good friends in the beauty community. I have learned so much. I have even started my own business. I may be very awkward socially lately, but I do feel that this blog, youtube, and the beauty community accept me as I am. It is truly a beautiful thing and I am so thankful for every single person that is subscribed or just happens to land on a page. Every subscriber, every comment, every view means so much to me.

To say thank you to everyone who has been on this adventure with me, I would like to have a giveaway. I was waiting for 50 followers, but 47 is close enough and there are 11 people following on bloglovin so I say that is enough! I will be posting photos of prizes as well as the rules in another post so stay tuned!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Jess Bee

Every day is an adventure

Black & White Challenge - Day Four

Hello everyone! This one I am totally in love with! It seems lately things are not working quite how I want, but this manicure turned out pretty much perfect. I used pretty much the most perfect image plate for this. It is from the new Cheeky set.

White Base With Color

What I used
Fresh Paint - Eggshell
OPI - Road House Blues
OPI - Last Friday Night
Cheeky Plate - CH4

I love this. I tried using a jelly for a base and I think it turned out well. The VNL is not too bad, thanks to the stars all over. I also am totally loving my ring finger accent nail. I did two coats of Eggshell, stamped the UFO using Road House Blues, and did a coat of Last Friday Night topped with a top coat. So pretty! I am totally going to wear this as long as I can so it may be a while until the next post!

What do you think of this manicure. This is probably my most successful one of the challenge in my eyes.
Do you just love stamping like I do? Or do you just feel meh about it?

Black & White Challenge - Day Three

Sorry I haven't posted this yet, it has been done for about a week and I just never wrote up the post. I recently got a few new stamping plates and wanted to play with them so you will see images from the second Bundle Monster set and the Cheeky 2012 set.

Black Base With Color

What I used:
China Glaze - Black Diamond
China Glaze - Aquadelic
China Glaze - Happy Go Lucky
Konad - m56
Bundle Monster - BM221
Essie - Matte About You

What do you think of this design? I am so glad to have an image plate with a leopard print pattern on it. It seems no matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to do it myself. I need the help! I tried to, instead of using glitter, using a matte top coat as an accent. I feel it did not work out quite as I had planned. It wasn't bad, just not what I imagined it would be. Also if you can tell on the pinky I tried stamping the bow with red first didn't like it and changed to yellow. The red just did not stand out as much as the yellow did. This is also my first time using Black Diamond. I think I works well for this challenge.
