December 2014 Most Used + Loves

What have I been using and loving this month? Let's find out!

Eylure x Katy Perry Lashes - Sweetie Pie
I really liked the natural look of these. I used them for Christmas Eve dinner. I initially planned to use the Ardell demi wispies everyone raves about, but they were just too dramatic for the occasion (and the fact that I have never wore lashes before). What I liked best about these lashes is that I can do a thick liner and just pop these on and instantly look like I have natural lashes again. Is it just me, or do you find there's nothing you can do to make your lashes visible with a super thick liner. No amount of mascara seems to help me!

Makeup Geek Pigment - New Year's Eve
Just pat this baby on over whatever kind of glitter glue you like, and POW! instant party look. Simple and sparkly!

Illamasqua Powder Blusher - Hussy
I got this for Christmas last year after I had been dreaming of owning it for what feels like forever. I can tell you, it did not disappoint. I love it! Its nice and pigmented, and I think it looks good on me.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in Amsterdam and Cannes
I have recently fallen in love with the formulas of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. They are easy to apply, and layer, and eventually become mostly matte without totally drying out your lips. Lovely!

China Glaze Hey Sailor with Essie Matte About You Topcoat
My favorite, matte red everything!

Manic Panic - Hot Hot Pink, Purple Haze, Electric Lizard
My current hair color combination. Let me tell you I am seriously feelin' it. I think I could be rocking this look for quite a while. <3

Weekly Loves and Unloves - 7/22-29

On Monday I went to the Palace Theater to see a showing of The Goonies with my husband and our niece. I was so glad to be able to take her to one of our favorite places to see a great movie. The theater will be doing more family night movies like this I can't wait to see what else they show! Unfortunately this young girl says she "doesn't like black and white movies!" Seriously!? This is not ok. What are your favorite black and white movies you think a 10 year old might like? I considered seeing if she was able to see the Evil Dead marathon they will be doing, or if she is able to see Gremlins x Rocky Horror Picture Show. I think she would have a great time, plus she already likes Gremlins. Anyway on to the favorites!

Love : Wet N Wild Color Icon Single - Brulee
I have been using this pretty much every time I do my makeup. It is a great highlight/blending color.

Love : Putting all of my indie shadows in baggies in trading card holders in a binder!
I used to hate baggies and still love jars, but this is soooo much easier. Literally be the idea in the world. I exaggerate but you know what I mean. Everything is at your fingertips, it doesn't take up too much space, and we all know what that means: more room for more makeup!

Love : Philosophy Lipgloss in Pink Frosted Animal Cracker
Seriously. It's just great!

Weekly Loves and Unloves - 7/15-7/22

I have been trying very diligently to keep up blogging, doing about 2 posts a week. Doing these weekly posts really help me keep on track. I hope you enjoy them?

Love : Milani Eyeshadow Primer
I have been using this for over a year since I lost my UDPP *cries* Good news is, ITS JUST AS GOOD! Its amazing and I feel like I do not ever need to spend crazy cashola on an eyeshadow primer again. I love it so much I used it on my wedding day!

Unlove : BareMinerals Mineral Veil
I currently hate this. Every time I have used this the past few weeks my skin has looked totally poopy; just gross. It does not play well, at least with my ELF foundation that I am trying to use up.

Love : Prism Lites Lightener - Violet, Ion Sensitive Scalp 30 vol developer, Manic Panic Rock 'N' Roll Red
I used all of these products over the past week to redye my hair. I have enjoyed working with all of them. My hair lightened enough to so I could cover it with the manic panic. The red is an orange-y red and very bright!

Love/Unlove : Manic Panic - Rockabilly Blue
I love this color but I hate that it stains my skin so badly! I need to find a replacement for this. I am so of having a blue tinged face and neck.

Love : Shampoo Bars
I have been trying one of Fortune Cookie Soap solid shampoo bars a lovely lady in a facebook group sent me a sample of Something Tropical. I have used it maybe three times so far. I like it, it seems to clean my hair nicely. I also have used a shampoo and conditioner bar from Soapily Ever After a few times as well. I like using them a lot more than the traditional liquid shampoos and conditioner. *I am afraid to wash my hair with this or any other shampoo really because I just know that the red dye is going to come right out :(

Love : Haus of Gloi - Sanctum
I picked this up last year when they have their summer collection avalible. I finally just tested it out. At first I thought I wanted to die it was so, sickly sweet, but then as it mellowed out I had a nice, but still very sweet, scent. I feel like, at least on me, the melon really comes out. It reminds me of something, but I cannot figure it out at all!
Description: A welcome respite: Muskmelon, coconut water infused with bergamot flower, kaffir lime, polished ho wood and sticky benzoin.

Weekly Loves and Unloves - 7/1-7/15

Last week I didn't wear much makeup it was so hot and humid but over the past two weeks I have used some products I have enjoyed and some I just cannot stand.

Love :  ZOYA nail polish
I had worn Wednesday for, like, two weeks with minimal wear. I am currently wearing Shawn and just have a small amount of tip wear.

Unlove : OPI especially Lucky Lucky Lavender
I want to punch this in its face. It was horrible to apply. Its thick and streaky and three coats later I have horrible chipping only a day or two after application. Boo!

Love : BPAL Pumpkin Princess
LOVE THIS PERFUME!
Description - Before the Grand Dame was the Pumpkin Queen, she was a Pumpkin Princess! Bright, sweet pumpkin with vanilla fluff, guava, chocolate-dusted white amber, tiare, red currant, raw honey, and meringue.

Unlove : Tokyo Milk - Poe's Tobacco No. 1
I have tried to love this so much. I love Poe and the scent notes seemed nice, but to me, it just smells like an old lady for me.
Description - A decidedly different collection of brilliantly paired fragrance notes housed in an alluring glass bottle decorated with Poe's own raven. Deeply nostalgic: Tobac, Tea Leaves, Amberwood & Autumn Apple

What have you been loving, unloving, or using a lot these past two weeks?

Long time no see

Soooo I don't really want to know how long it has been since I have posted here. Things have been very busy with family things and makeup just was not a priority. Currently Moon Rabbit Cosmetics is closed. I do not have the time to devote to it as I feel it deserves.

Now that I got all that business out of the way, I want to start posting again so I will share a NOTD and a weekly favorites.

Firstly the most work I have done painting my nails in months:
this instagram picture is the best I can do

Base: Zoya Wednesday
Polka dots: OPI Don't 'Ya Just Love OPI stamped with Bundle Monster - BM-
Bow: OPI Road House Blues stamped with Konad - m56

-----------

And now for all the things I have been using and loving this week:

1- Chinovi eye shadow in Whisper
I was organizing all of my indie shadows and for some reason Whisper kept calling out to me. Good think I listened, IT'S GORGEOUS! SO SPARKLY! I love patting it over a foiling medium to give a very nice sparkly look when you want to be "toned down" because of your nice bright lipstick!

2- ELF Flawless Finish Foundation in Porcelain
My Make Up For Ever Foundation is practically empty (I don't know why I am trying to limp it along) and I just don't feel like using my Illamasqua one because I am pretty sure the slight tan I have developed has made me just a little too dark for my current shade.

3-Darling Girl blush in Pixie
Apparently no longer on the site, this is a gorgeous subdued everyday blush. Not super bright, or pink, just perfect to liven up my face when I don't want to look like I am "wearing blush."

Everyday is an adventure.

August Favorites and Most Used

I know it's a little late, but since it is still only the first week of September, I thought this would be within the acceptable time frame. I wore basically no makeup whatsoever all summer. It was too hot and I was too gross. I also had not really been painting my nails because summer was so hectic. I am glad it is cooling down and I am less busy. I love reading these posts and doing them myself, I just feel like I never use enough items to warrant making a post. Well this month I used so many things so often I thought I could legitimately write a favorites/most used post.

In no specific order here are the items I used most, or just really loved this past August:

ELF Eyebrow Kit Medium

Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara

Darling Girl Glitter Glue

Fyrinnae Rapunzel Had Extensions

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner Maya

Moon Rabbit Cosmetics Natural Shimmer, Fairytale Romance

ORLY Space Cadet, Halley's Comet, Fowl Play

Haus of Gloi Perfume Oil Zazz

I have been without fail been using Maybelline Mega Plush and the ELF eyebrow kit everyday. Even if I don't do anything else, I have been wearing these two items. For about half of the month I have been using Darling Girl Glitter Glue with Fyrinnae's Rapunzel Had Extensions all over the lid and doing a winged liner with the Kat Von D liner. For the other half of the month I have been using Darling Girl Glitter Glue with two new colors I have made (they will be available soon). I recently bought my first ORLY polishes and I have been wearing them like crazy! And what can I say about Zazz from Haus of Gloi. It smells to me, just like raspberry ginger ale which reminds me of christmas eve at my grandparents, so whats not to love?

What have you been wearing most often this month?

Everyday is an adventure.

December Favorites

I love seeing posts on peoples favorite products so I thought I would try it out myself. I find these posts to be a good way to see what products are really worth purchasing and what products I was lusting over that are just not worth my time or money. I feel these posts can really help people make an informed decision about a product. It is also fun to see what people really liked or used in a month.

Bath and Body Works - Secret Wonderland Body Butter
I have been using this every night this month. I do not know what it is about it, but I love it.

Glamour Doll Eyes - Midnight Light Show
When you foil this and use it as a liner it is just amazing! I have been using GDE Foil Me mixed with the shadow to create a winged liner, and then patting the shadow on top. It makes it so glittery and festive! I am going to test out Ladies Night since Midnight Light Show is not a permanent color.

OCC Lip Tar -Grandma
Ever since I saw this color swatched I thought, "gosh this is beautiful and I must have it!" This shade is very wearable, I think every skin tone and age group could wear this and look nice. I also like that this is a nice natural lip color with some punch! You can wear it everyday and feel pretty, not like someone's grandma, with this coral pinky color

Darling Girl Cosmetics - Petunia
I love wearing this all over my lid with an intense black winged liner! It adds a hint of color, and warmth without going overboard. Perfect!

Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm Tin
I cannot live without this.  It is winter here and it is just so dry, especially with electric heat in the apartment, that my lips often need more attention. This is hands down my favorite lip balm. I have been using it since my best friend is high school turned me on to it. The friendship didn't last but the love affair with this balm will never die.

butterLONDON - The Black Knight
I received this for Christmas and it is everything I dreamt it would be. It is a black base with pink, blue, black and silver sparkles! There are no words for how awesome this is.

Have you used any of these products before? Which do you love or hate?
What would be your list of favorites from the month of December?
This is my first post like this so let me know what you think!
