Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Palette Swatches

Today I just wanted to share with you a quick post. I have for you, swatches of the Bobbi Brown Pretty Powerful Palette. I bought this when I was on a neutral and pink shadow kick. Let's take a look.

Top - Ivory, Pink Flannel
Bottom - Pink Chiffon, Chocolate Caviar

Pretty Pink

Top to Bottom - Soiree Pink, Bubble Bath, Sandwash Pink

Top - Ivory, Pink Flannel, Pink Chiffon, Chocolate Caviar
Bottom - Pretty Pink, Soiree Pink, Bubble Bath, Sandwash Pink

This palette comes with four eyeshadows, a blush and three lip glosses. I had to admit this, but I have not used this palette yet. I was so excited about it when I purchased it, but now it just sits in a pile on my dresser with a few other palette, some of which I use often, some of which I would like to use but just don't reach for. The shadows are beautiful and swatched well. The blush seems like a nice color that a lot of people could wear, and the glosses don't seem that spectacular, but the don't seem horrible either. I think the issue I have with the gloss, is that I do not want to just stick my finger in them to apply, for some reason I feel the need to use a brush, and that is just too much work for a plain old gloss to me.

What do you think of this palette? Do you have any products you were so excited
about, that you like, that just don't get any love?

theBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer Swatches

When I was on a highlighter kick, trying to find a bunch I wanted to test out, I saw that they had this on HauteLook and scooped it up. This is in my regular rotation until I find a highlighter I like better.

Swatches

I do like this as a highlighter but if you are not careful, you can use too much and look oily. I think this would look good on most people as it is a nice golden shimmer. I would say this is somewhat frosty but the good news it that there are no chunks of glitter in it like some highlighters do. I like to pat this over Benefit Watt's Up!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Dollface Swatch

Today I have a quckie post. I want to share with you my first ever Tarte blush. I was on the fence with this color when I first used it, now that I have a little more experience, I really like it.

Swatched
over bare skin - no primers

Top - swatched heavily
Bottom - blended out

This blush is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. This was my first Tarte product. I really like it and I will be looking into getting more of these blushes after my 100-day no buy. I am interested in Exposed, Natural Beauty, Blissful, Flush, Blushing Bride, and Tipsy.

Do you use Tarte blushes? Which is your favorite?
What is your all time favorite blush?

Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzing Powder Swatches

After much thought and consideration on what highlighter products I wanted to try, and after getting a recommendation from WitchHazel, I decided to pick up the small sample version of Pink Leopard to try it out.

I love this. It is not seriously sparkly. I would not use this as a bronzer as I am pale and totally afraid of using one. I think this is a great highlighter though. It has a subtle sheen when used lightly and adds a beautiful glow to your face. I like to use this alone, or to set Benefit's Girl Meets Pearl. They are somewhat similar in color so I feel it works well together.

What do you think of this product? Do you use it as a bronzer?
Do you use highlighters or find them unnecessary? What is your favorite?

Covergirl Temptress Lipstick Swatch

Hey everyone! Today I just have a quick swatch post. I walked by this a few times at Target and finally picked it up. After falling in love with NARS Schiap, I can't get enough of bright pink lips!

What do you think? Would you wear this lipstick? How would you wear it?
Any suggestions for great pink lipsticks?

bareMinerals READY 8.0 The Cocktail Hour Swatches

I don't know why this took me so long, but I finally have for you swatches of the second limited edition palette bareMinerals released around the holidays. The first one is The Playlist, and now I have for you The Cocktail Hour. This palette comes with eight eyeshadows and a dual-ended brush.

Black Tie Optional - black velvet
Icebreaker - pink pearl
Swanky - dazzling plum
Spiked - copper blush
Elixir - luxe lilac
Invite Only - taupe slate
Libation - sugared cinnamon
Shaken Not Stirred - jeweled navy

Swatches
Over bare skin - no primer

Top - Black Tie Optional, Icebreaker, Swanky, Spiked
Bottom - Elixir, Invite Only, Libation, Shaken Not Stirred

Black Tie Optional is not very dark or black in my opinion. This is probably my least favorite. Icebreaker is a very frosty slightly pink color. Swanky is one of my favorites. It is a deep plum with golden shimmers. Spiked is one of my favorite colors to wear, not necessarily this particular shadow, just pinky coppers in general. Elixir is an ok color. I have a possible dupe in the Too Faced Glamour To Go Palette Dream Edition, and a duo from ELF. (I will try to get a comparison photo up soon) Invite Only is more of a khaki green to me than a taupe. Libation is a nice highlight color.Shaken Not Stirred is my favorite out of these shadows. It is a blackened blue with blue shimmers, GORGEOUS!

I could not stop thinking about picking this up. I loved the colors but thought the other palette would be more wearable, and that was that. Well I was trying to use up my punch/stamp card so I decided to pick this up as well as a face primer. I love the colors in this palette. I think this is also more wearable than I gave it credit.

I do not know if I would recommend this palette necessarily. The colors are nice as is the quality, but there is just something lacking. It is just ok not wow in my opinion.
What do you think of this palette?
