December Favorites

I love seeing posts on peoples favorite products so I thought I would try it out myself. I find these posts to be a good way to see what products are really worth purchasing and what products I was lusting over that are just not worth my time or money. I feel these posts can really help people make an informed decision about a product. It is also fun to see what people really liked or used in a month.

Bath and Body Works - Secret Wonderland Body Butter
I have been using this every night this month. I do not know what it is about it, but I love it.

Glamour Doll Eyes - Midnight Light Show
When you foil this and use it as a liner it is just amazing! I have been using GDE Foil Me mixed with the shadow to create a winged liner, and then patting the shadow on top. It makes it so glittery and festive! I am going to test out Ladies Night since Midnight Light Show is not a permanent color.

OCC Lip Tar -Grandma
Ever since I saw this color swatched I thought, "gosh this is beautiful and I must have it!" This shade is very wearable, I think every skin tone and age group could wear this and look nice. I also like that this is a nice natural lip color with some punch! You can wear it everyday and feel pretty, not like someone's grandma, with this coral pinky color

Darling Girl Cosmetics - Petunia
I love wearing this all over my lid with an intense black winged liner! It adds a hint of color, and warmth without going overboard. Perfect!

Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm Tin
I cannot live without this.  It is winter here and it is just so dry, especially with electric heat in the apartment, that my lips often need more attention. This is hands down my favorite lip balm. I have been using it since my best friend is high school turned me on to it. The friendship didn't last but the love affair with this balm will never die.

butterLONDON - The Black Knight
I received this for Christmas and it is everything I dreamt it would be. It is a black base with pink, blue, black and silver sparkles! There are no words for how awesome this is.

Have you used any of these products before? Which do you love or hate?
What would be your list of favorites from the month of December?
This is my first post like this so let me know what you think!

Glamour Doll Eyes Holiday 2011 Set 1 & Set 2 Swatches

I could not decide which of these to buy. I liked some of the colors in both and as I am a freak and can't say no to having a complete set I purchased both. I am not really that excited about the colors in the first set after having them in my hands and swatching them, I am completely in love with the second set mostly because of the eye light and one amazing color. I am a sucker for anything glittery and if you are too, you may be interested in picking up set two, or at least just looking at all the sparkles!

These sets will be on sale again on the 15th of December. Vee only makes a certain amount of these sets so when they are gone they are gone. Set one is $16 for four full sized 5g jars. Set two is $14 for four full sized 5g jars. Set two is cheaper because one is an eye light and not an eye shadow.

Set one includes:
Snow Globe
Champagne Kisses
Gingerbread Girl
Snow Berry

Top: Snow Globe, Champagne Kisses
Bottom: Gingerbread Girl, Snow Berry

Tinsel Fight

December 26th (my Brother's birthday!!) is a bright metallic looking raspberry with pink and silver sparkles. Overslept is greyish Christmas tree green with a frosty silver sheen and sparkles. Midnight Light Show is a matte black with purple and green sparkles. Tinsel Fight is silver, red and green glitter.

Swatches
all were swatched over bare skin except Tinsel Fight which was patted over LA Splash Splash Proof Sealer eyeshadow sealer/base

Top: December 26th, Overslept
Bottom: Midnight Light Show, Tinsel Fight

I would say skip set one, its not my favorite although I do like Snow Globe. Personally I like set two best because I like Tinsel Fight and Midnight Light Show. Midnight Light Show is my absolute favorite shadow from Glamour Doll Eyes to date. There is just something about the super dark black chock full of glitter! <3

Do you like any of these colors? Did you pick up either of these sets? Are you going to order or pass on this holiday collection?
